Umpiring Hockey in Southland

Welcome to the Hockey Southland Umpires page where we aim to regularly update umpires, players and coaches on umpiring developments.

Hockey in Southland has several divisions:

• Mini Hockey (Small Sticks) – for players year 0 – 6 played during the week in Gore and Invercargill
• Mid Week Junior High (years 7 – 8) and Secondary Competitions (years 9 – 13) played in Invercargill
• Club Hockey - played in Gore and Invercargill
  • Division 1 men and women played on a Friday night
  • Division 2 women played on a Staurday
  • Division 2 men, Division 3 (Year 9 and 10 mixed) and Division 4 (Year 7 and 8 mixed) played on a Sunday

Hockey Southland provides the management, development and support to umpires in all of the above competitions.
