Coaching the Coaches sessions in practical skills can be held concurrently with these sessions and any interested coaches should contact Tracey on manager@hockeysouthland.co.nz or 027 5164011 or Nicole on youth@hockeysouthland.co.nz or 027 2345681
Players must register to ensure their place in their programme of choice.

First Block of Development Trainings - February/March/April
U18 DEVELOPMENT TRAINING SCHEDULE INVERCARGILL 2022
Training will happen Wednesdays 5pm at ILT Turf Invercargill.
Open to anyone who would like to improve their skills.
If there are high numbers involved, players will be split into groups of like ability so training can be focussed appropriately.
These trainings will culminate in the U18 trials on 6th and 13th April (TBC) for those players who would like to make themselves available for the U18 teams.
Goalkeepers should register for the age group sessions and email Nicole at youth@hockeysouthland.co.nz to let her know you have signed up.

Training will happen Wednesdays 6pm at Gore
Open to anyone who would like to improve their skills.

U13 Registration Form
Year 5 and 6 - April 26/27 in Gore and 28/29 April in Invercargill
These training sessions are open for anyone who would like to improve their skills.
If there are high numbers involved, players will be split into groups of like ability so training can be focused appropriately.
Clinic sessions must be paid for before attending first session.
Cost for these sessions are $45 per player or $40 per player for 2 or more children in same family.

Tuesday 26th April - 10am to 12.30pm
Wednesday 27th April - 10am to 12.30pm
Times for this skill training in Invercargill are:
Thursday 28th April - 10am to 12.30pm
Friday 29th April - 10am to 12.30pm

Second Block of Development Training - July/August/Sept 2022
U13 Age Group
These trainings will be association based and information will come out through the Eastern Southland and Invercargill associations.
U15 Age Group
These trainings will be as follows:
Girls Trainings
Friday 10 June Gore, 17th June Invercargill, 1st July Invercargill and 8th July in Gore.
Boys Trainings
Friday 10 June Invercargill, 17th June Gore, 1st July Gore and 8th July in Invercargill
There will be further team training sessions scheduled in term 3 to prepare for the South Island Tournament.
To be eligible for U15s, players must have been UNDER the age of 15 as of 1 January 2022 and take part in the development training.
Clutha Cup will be held in Invercargill 17th and 18th September 2022 - games will be against Otago, Central Otago and North Otago
South Island Tournament is currently scheduled for October 2nd to 6th 2022 in Christchurch.
This tournament will be played against other teams from around the South Island.
Registrations are open to anyone who would like to be involved in the programme. The programme will focus on fun and skill development.
Please indicate your availability for the tournament on the form that is on Facebook, you must take part in the development programme to be part of the tournament

Year 5 and 6 - August 2022
This programme will coordinated with the Eastern Southland and Invercargill Associations
There will be 4 development sessions for all those who register and it will culminate in a festival in Invercargill on the weekend of 28th/29th August - exact date TBC
Gore on Monday afternoons starting around 1st August - times TBC
Invercargill on Friday afternoons in August starting 5th August - times TBC
